Problem with ON/159/6/50 and WK/210/SS94/1 |
|
A map is shown below. The underlying map is an Ordnance Survey 1:25000 map that has been produced by Bing. On the underlying map, public rights of way (PROW) are indicated by dashed green lines. Solid lines have been superimposed on top of the underlying map (and will usually hide these dashed green lines). A solid red line signifies a footpath, a solid magenta line signfies a bridleway, a solid green line signifies a restricted byway and a solid blue line signifies a byway open to all traffic (BOAT). These solid lines have been produced from data obtained from the Council of Oxfordshire (ON) and from the Council of Warwickshire (WK). You can click on a solid line to get more details about that PROW. You can click on the + and - buttons to zoom in/out. Often the boundary line becomes more obvious if you zoom out. There's a footpath that crosses the border between Warwickshire and Oxfordshire which seems to have a bit that is missing from the datasets provided by the two councils. The bit that is missing runs from about SP252304 (51.97233,-1.63426) to SP252304 (51.97191,-1.63427). I think that means the gap is about 47 metres long.
I've looked at the online map provided by Warwickshire
using the postcode GL56 0RR
and a zoom of 1:10000
but it is difficult to see whether the missing bit appears on this map.
I took this photo when I visited this area.
It shows part of the
footpath that's in the gap.
